Y Chilli Liqueur: A Taste of PAIN
Published by Jen February 6th, 2006 in Uncategorized, Ego Tags: Ego.A friend of Lances’ moved here from Isreal, and brought with him a gift of Y Chilli Liqueur.
Now, I’ve had chili peppers and various spicy foods and drinks along with them, but this… this was on a whole ‘nother level. The scent was sweet, and very pleasent. So I assumed, having had experience with chili peppers (stand-alone, too) before, that I would be able to handle this.
How wrong I was. I grabbed for the closest drink near me, which was sitting in the freezer: Some somewhat cheap vodka. I drank that to soothe the pain.
It was about 10 minutes ago as of this writing… I still feel the spiceyness on my lips. *sips some coke*
i had 2 shots of this when leaving tel aviv airport recently - they were giving free samples at the duty free - wow - so pan-galactic gargle blasters do exist after all! - bought a bottle and now trying to find a supplier in u.k.! phil (58)
Haven’t seen this for sale anywhere outside Isreal which sucks. It’s a good drink.
Please contact me if you are intersted in purching more bottles.

It’s impossible to get anywhere outside of Israel, that I’ve seen (nowhere in North America, Europe, or the UK). Most bars in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv don’t even stock it — you really have to know where to go. I try to stock up whenever I travel in or out of the country.
Now they make “Y Green” — an anise flavored version. Having just tried it, I would say it’s the poor (weak) man’s version. I still would prefer Y Chili classic.
Anyway, enjoy the drink that has been known to make grown men cry! And try eating the chili pepper at the bottom of the bottle.
Its still not for sale outside of Israel, but can be bought online and shipped anywhere at https://www.israel-catalog.com/product.asp?Product=12905
Hi there would you mind letting me know which hosting company you’re working with? I’ve loaded your blog in 3 completely different browsers and I must say this blog loads a lot faster then most. Can you suggest a good hosting provider at a fair price? Thank you, I appreciate it!
