Now Bush gets to hand-pick the next justice. Run for the hills.
We all know full-well Bush will select someone from deep within his party, not a moderate. Shades of grey are nice, not black and white. This isn’t good, any educated or sane person can get that through their head.
Why?
Because any balance in the courts we had will become lost. Not only that, but Bush will more than likely get to select another if/when Rehnquist retires. I don’t hate on Republicans, one of my favorite politicians (such a thing exists? When you love politics it does) is a Republican, but he has a brain: Senator John McCain. I also don’t hate on Democrats, I’m an equal-oppurtunity offender when it comes to politics, I guess you could say.
Freedoms such as Gay Marriage could probably be kissed goodbye now. Same with abortion, which I don’t support but I support the right to choice.
See? Why can’t politicians be shades of grey like I am now? You know why? The world is going fucking insane! More on that on a later date… I’m seriously awed at how batshit everything has become in the US the past two weeks.
